Uptown Acorn Decorates {Chateau Lapeyre}

 I know. I know! It's been a while since my last blog post. I'm still here, just busy with life.

For Thanksgiving, J and I headed down the bayou to my sister and brother-in-law's beautiful home in Houma, LA. We spend the entire day on Friday transforming their home and tree into a Christmas wonderland.

Outdoors, the traditional colors of red and green and the garlands of magnolia and cedar transform Chateau Lapeyre for the season. I adore the toy soldiers on the front porch which stand at attention each holiday season. I was lucky enough to find them on a shopping trip to Baton Rouge.

Indoors, my sister tends to lean towards a traditional decor. The colors of silver, gold, turqoise, and blues blend well with her traditional decor.

Enjoy the tour! I'll share more from during the daytime tomorrow.

Chateau Lapeyre, y'all!
