Without parades going on in and around New Orleans this year, neighbors are taking it upon themselves to create lavish displays of the front yards and porches. I hope to share some of my favorite "floats" with you during the Carnival season.
This home, decorated with large Mardi Gras blooms is located on the corner of Upperline and Coliseum Streets in Uptown New Orleans {4901 Coliseum}.

House Floats, y'all!
Wow! I didn't know where to look first ! I've been to Mardi Gras once but not being a fan of crowds, I have to say I didn't last long. I might be one of the few who would love the 2021 version. Love the big flowers. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery much enjoying your beautiful posts! Thank you for inspiration and making all of our days so much brighter!
ReplyDeleteYour home looks exquisite (as usual)! This truly made my day. Your positivity in these trying times is so uplifting. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Ron! I was looking at NOLA.com this morning while I was having my hair done and saw all these "house floats." It is so, awesome that people in NOLA are trying to give the float artists and builders some income--they are amazing and so festive! Of course, I love your facade! Latoya cannot squelch the Mardi Gras spirit in NOLA! Have a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove the Mari Gras decor..Your house looks fantastic as always..
