Shop Small.

Today is Shop Small Business Saturday.

I am a firm believer in shopping small and spending my money local. Here are my favorite local haunts...

Scriptura: cards, stationery, pens

Hazelnut: gifts, gifts, gifts

Pied Nu: ornaments and candles

Historic New Orleans Collection: New Orleans-themed gifts

Mitch's Flowers: fresh flowers and garlands

Home Malone: New Orleans-inspired door hangers

Aux Belles Chose: soaps, ribbons, gift tags

Sotre: candles, linens, gifts

Rivers Spencer: lighting

Billy Reid: men's clothing

Dunn & Sonnier: ornaments, accessories

Adler's: jewelry, ornaments

Many retailers this season are offering curbside service. Take advantage of the specials of these fine businesses.

Support Local, y'all!

  1. Your tree looks so pretty Ron. I love all your small business purchases. I believe in buying local and helping small business too. Especially now they need all our help. I think it makes more unique and better gifts too. Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. xoxo Kris

  3. I would be shopping local if I had that selection. Local here is farmers markets and nurseries. I guess we don’t support those kinds of shops here anymore. I can remember a few 30-40 years back..They have all gone. Miss them. Have a good week.

  4. Ron, NOLA has some fabulous small shops. Thanks for featuring some of them and giving us some great eye candy! I adore that oyster shell candle holder you featured. I might have to give Santa a hint this year. Small business owners have been hit hard this year by COVID and need all the support they can get. I love shopping small business and supporting them. So many in our city (RVA) have gone under this year which is so sad.
