Halloween {Front yard decor}
It's always fun to decorate for Halloween here in New Orleans. It's our second year in the Acorn Cottage, and the decorations stayed the same with the only addition of the black pre-lit garland surrounding the entrance to the porch. I purchased two garlands from Grandin Road.
Take a look at the SPOOKtacular decor:
Halloween time, y'all!
This is so much fun, Ron! And so Spooktacular!!

Thanks, Shelley! Have a great SPOOK-tober!
DeleteLove your decorations! The crows on the mummy are great. Everything is spooky but classy! Just perfect. I spent Saturday afternoon helping my 7 yr old granddaughter decorate with a hay bale, mums, pumpkins , a piece of an old picket fence , lights, and leaf garland. It was great . Our porch planters had mums, pumpkins and witches legs sticking up out of the planter. Less than 24 hrs and 10 inches of rain later, our lights don't work but everything else is ok. I just might take it apart and add new lights. With more rain expected this week, I might wait until next week. I can't complain tho because behind the rain was the much appreciated cooler weather. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Claire! I am most happy for the cooler weather.
DeleteI love it all and your landscaping is progressing so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Ron! The front of the cottage looks so festive with its Halloween decor! Have a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteRon,
ReplyDeleteI love those garlands as well as your mummy guarding the front porch! Everything looks "Spook-fabulous"and Halloween-chic! I planted mums, pansies and ornamental cabbage in my front porch planters and adorned them with some black Halloween spiders in hopes it would keep the squirrels out of them. Well, it appeared to have worked for a few days but they are smart and have figured out the spiders weren't real!
Looks wonderful! Who did you wrap up !! Love the birds on the mummy and the new lights around the front entrance. Do your caladiums make it through the winter there?
ReplyDeleteI love the black wreaths! And the garland is very creepy. Well done, as usual!
