Throw Me Somethin' {Mardi Gras Facade}

Purple, green, and gold are the colors of the Carnival season and seem to accentuate homes and buildings around New Orleans at this time of year.

I purchased new bunting this year for the fence from the Magazine flag emporium, Brad & Dellwen Flag Store. I always think bunting on balconies and fences make for a lovely display.

Metallic tinsel and ball garlands frame the windows, and ball wreaths hang in each window. Glittered ribbons hang them well.

I am still in LOVE of the door hanger custom-made by New Orleans artist, Cynthia Kolls. I'll do a separate post of her design soon.

In New Orleans, at least we still have Mardi Gras!

  2. Ron I am swooning over your outdoor decor. It is beyond fabulous. Gosh your neighbors must love you and J moving in and transforming this sweet cottage. You probably have the prettiest Mardi Gras house on the block. Cynthia Koll's door hanger is beautiful. Festive and pretty. Happy New Week.
