The Acorn Cottage {Hardie Plank}
It seems as if renovations at The Acorn Cottage are moving at a snail's pace. There has not been much interesting to report lately as the outside siding is being replaced with Hardie plank for a cleaner look (and less maintenance).
On the horizon: Window shades will be installed Friday, and wallpaper in the sunroom installation is Monday.
Hardie Plank, y'all!
That is not a snail's pace. We started the renovation on our master suite in April 2017 and it is still not finished. I know that is not normal but hopefully it makes you feel better about your progress. Whole homes are easier than one room, apparently.
ReplyDeleteGood evening, Ron! I had to look up what Hardie Plank is--it will look so good once it is finished. Can't wait to see the window shades and the wallpaper up! Have a great evening! Cheers! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWow, you are moving along on this cottage. Great choices. Can't wait to see the
ReplyDeletefinished results Ron.
I can't wait to see it all done!
ReplyDeleteRon, it may feel like a snail's pace to you, but from where I'm sitting, it looks like progress is being made on many levels - and a lot of it! Hardy board is so nice. My carpenter used it to replace rotted wood on our balcony two years ago - still looks great (and no more leaks!).
ReplyDeleteYou’ve gotten a lot done and siding the outside of the house is a big job. Hardie plank siding is a wonderful product. I would use it too if I was building new or remodeling. Sounds like the inside is coming along nicely too.
