The Acorn Cottage {The House is Empty}
I thought the previous owner would never leave, but yes, he's finally moved out. The previous owner has lived in the cottage for over 40 years. I am certain that he has lots of memories in the charming home. J and I closed on the house on May 11 and allowed the previous owner to stay in the home until June 11. Ain't we nice?
This is how the house looked on the morning of June 12. It is a blank slate. Let the renovations begin.
An Empty Home, y'all!
It will be fun watching you transform it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Penny!
DeleteOh wow! I can only imagine as we have to finish cleaning out my MIL's home of 60+ years. Can't wait to see you two transform this sweet cottage.
ReplyDeleteThanks. It will be fun! (I hope!)
DeleteYeah!! Now the reno starts!!
ReplyDeleteContractors should start next week.
DeleteWhat fabulous bones the Cottage has! You're going to have a ball making it your own. Welcome home!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! We are happy to stay in the "hood"!!!!
DeleteCant wait to see what's in store for "Sleeping Beauty Cottage". From the pictures, it looks like the kitchen and baths will be the biggest renovation. I adore those built-ins so I am hoping they will be staying but I know that wallpaper will be history. I am guessing maybe that's were you will be re-papering with grass cloth? Anyway, it will be fun to see it all come together.
ReplyDeleteYes to grasscloth! Built-ins are staying. Baths are getting the complete gut job!
DeleteAwesome Ron! Loved the tour. I can well imagine how anxious you’ve been to get in there. Looking forward to seeing your personal touch! Lots of nice hardwood flooring! The home looks like it was well cared for.
ReplyDeleteTake lots of before and after pics! Can’t wait to see the transformation!!
