The arrangement consists of green and purple orchids along with plumes of purple, green, and gold. The arrangement is housed in one of my favorite containers from Kiss That Frog available through Hazelnut New Orleans.
I like the fact that the arrangement will last through the entire Mardi Gras season (if the orchids don't die first). I have an awful track record with growing any orchid.

Orchids and Feathers, y'all!
That really is a beautiful arrangment. The feathers tucked in nice and low really look good. The colors are very striking. I haven’t had much luck with orchids either- I think I’m impatient for them to re-bloom and knowing when to water and how is another trick. Oh well- there are plenty of them available year round!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Ron! I love the arrangement--those orchids are perfect for the Mardi Gras season! Have a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS, Ron, AND fun!!!! I love the feathers and the orchid combination. They say to 'water' and orchid once a week by dropping two ice cubes into the pot. I have had one for several years doing that- However, it has only bloomed twice..but the blooms last for a long time. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I started playing with my watercolors yesterday to find the perfect purple, gold and green!
ReplyDeleteFabulous arrangement! Such a beautiful and vibrant statement!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and whimsy all in one. Those orchids are gorgeous and the feather really accent. Beautiful Ron. I bet looking at this makes you smile. Happy Weekend.
