Let's take a look back at my home on November 11, 2012, my first year of blogging!
During my transformation from Halloween to Fall, I made a few tweaks outdoors also. My front facade was changed from gigantic spiders and witches to acorns and pheasants.
Christmas decorations outside will go up in only two weeks, but I do not like to forget about the month of November and Thanksgiving. The acorn door decorations are custom-made by Show Me The Door.
Tied branches of faux bittersweet and a pheasant complete the look in the door’s transom window.
Pumpkins as topiaries fill the cast iron urns, and more pumpkins spill out onto the porch, steps, and garden.
The front garden is still full of its summer best. It might be time to clear things out and plant petunias or pansies.A corn husk wreath bought years ago at Olive & Fig in Historic Roswell (GA) hangs on the front wall. I wonder if Olive & Fig is still there??? A large pheasant rests in the middle.
I hope you are enjoying the Fall season and hopefully some cooler weather.
Happy Veterans Day to all veterans past, present, and future!
Happy Fall, y’all!
