Celebrating 49!

Thanks for the many birthday wishes yesterday. I was floored by the positive comments.

Even though I had to work yesterday, I had an awesome birthday at school and at home.

At school, I was showered with my favorite candy, Reese's Peanut Butter cups. I love them out of the refrigerator. My stash is quite plentiful, for the students know by now that I love them. Yum!!!! I allot myself one or two a day.

One of my students also presented me with the fancy birthday hat and button. Though I am not close to 27, the brown-nosing is appreciated. I am one of those teachers who really love the attention.

For dinner, J & I headed to Frankie & Johnny's Uptown for some hot boiled crawfish. It is my first crawfish of the season, and it was delicious. A cold Miller Lite in a bottle with crawfish tastes soooo good.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

J & I will be headed to the Gulf Coast in a couple weeks for more birthday fun.

Cheers to 49, y'all!
