This weekend began the hurried yet exciting rounds of parades. Living just two blocks off the Uptown parade route makes it extra special for J and I. It is always a joy to see and talk with friends and neighbors walking to and from the parades.
The construction on our end of Napoleon Avenue is finally over, so it was exciting to have our neutral ground back. With fresh sod, it made the return even more inviting. Ladders, tents, wagons filled the neutral grounds all weekend long. Now, I hope this string of good weather will last.
Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Yay! I feel special for making the blog, even looking rough after a day in the heat! It was so great seeing you guys. Your house always looks like a magazine spread (and sometimes actually is!) and smells even better. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHow fun, we have never been to New Orleans as hubby simply doesn't like crowds. But to have it in your neighborhood, how wonderful. Thanks for posting this exuberant celebration, Sandi
