J & I walked down the street to Superior Seafood and watched the beautiful floats of Rex.
Hail Rex, the king of Carnival!
The floats depicted festivals and feasts around the world.
After the Rex parade, we dined on raw oysters and sipped libations.
I hope you and yours celebrate a Happy Mardi Gras. And I certainly hope you have enjoyed my many Mardi Gras posts. It's been a grand Mardi Gras season.

If I had some beads thrown from my computer screen I would have felt like I was there! Great photos! Happy Mardi Gras!
ReplyDeleteWow-those floats are quite elaborate! Happy Mardi Gras!
ReplyDeleteGood evening, Ron! Those Rex floats are awesome--love the theme! Many of those flowers on those floats remind me of the flowers you have at your home--did the same artist do those? I'm so jealous of those raw oysters. I'm definitely going to have some next week when I come to NOLA to see Carole King's "Beautiful" for my birthday! I'll be toasting you, too! Have a great evening! Cheers! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove the colorful floats! So glad you had a great MG season!
