A Spooktacular Halloween {Along my Uptown Walk}

Halloween is a big deal here in NOLA, and many decorate their homes in the signs and symbols of the Halloween season. Ghosts, goblins, mummies, witches, and pumpkins fill porches and front yards.

Along my morning walk with J, I snapped these pics. The first one is my most favorite decorated home in Uptown. It is located on State Street.

Another house I loved is on Nashville Avenue. The front porch is filled with cats and mice. So cute yet creepy!

Here are others:

And do not forget The PUNny Skeleton House on St. Charles Ave.

  1. Wow how fun is this! I had to just stare and stare at each picture to take it all in! There are some very creative people there. Loved all of it- the cats and mice are cutest! I'm imagining the house with alll the mummies creates them? Love the ghosts they put there too!

  2. Good morning, Ron! I love all of those homes--very SPOOKtacular! We are supposed to be coming to NOLA this weekend again. Maybe, I can convince Steve to ride around the neighborhood and see the homes. If you and J are going to be around, maybe, we can stop by for a drink or two! Have a great day! xoxo
