Halloween 2015... A Look Back

I'm looking back at some of my Halloween decor from last year. I hope you enjoy this look back with me. If you are visiting from Dixie Delights, "hello"!
Thanks for following along as I continue to share my Haunted Halloween decor, y'all.

Welcome to the ghoulish front porch and facade.

Yesterday, I shared my newest Halloween-inspired streetcar door decor.

Also new to the porch this season is the pair of witches' legs. I added them to one of the cast iron urns and balanced with a large pumpkin in the other urn.

A cobweb-like vine strung with my favorite flicker lights and spiders add to the spooky decor.

Alongside the door, I added pumpkins in various shapes and sizes.

I enjoy decorating the oyster shell wreath seasonally, so I was quick to add a BOO sign as well as a new ribbon in orange & black polka dot and black and white chevron.

The front of the house features several large spiders and a grapevine wreath of flicker lights.

A terracotta pumpkin is in the front garden.

The front of our house is Halloween ready.

Haunted Halloween Front porch, y'all!

Check out my haunted home at night. I hope you take the time to watch this SPOOKtacular video.

With fire & ice lights from Grandin Road, the facade appears to be on fire. I love this addition to the front of my home this season. They are so awesome.

The scary sounds come from one of the strobe lights I purchased last year.

Here's another video sans sound:

Haunted Nighttime Halloween, y'all!
Come on in.... but be careful. Boo!

The parlor features many of my favorite Halloween decorations.

On the entry chest, Esmerelda the witch stands guard and welcomes all who enter the home. My collection of vintage apothecary jars look great corralled in a tray.

On the coffee table bench, a lucite tray holds the skull & crossbones decanter and double old fashioneds.

The secretary is always used to showcase various seasonal finds. This Halloween, the secretary showcases a whimsical skull, a gold skeleton hand, and spider plate.

I love the glass curiosity box on a side table. I added preserved wasps nests and my collection of preserved insects. I love the natural display.

And here is a peek at the mantle which I'll highlight on the blog Tuesday.

A Haunted Halloween Parlor, y'all!

With each passing season, the parlor mantle is one of my favorite places to transform.

I am having so much fun using the vintage double-pan scale.

This year, the lower mantle features a vintage microscope that I purchased from an antique shoppe in Carmel, IN. I added one of the preserved insect specimens to the slide. As a science educator, I adore vintage science-type equipment.

A trophy cup filled with pheasant and peacock feathers and a framed creepy hologram photo add to the Halloween spirit.

On the scale I added a foiled pumpkin, a silvered skull dressed with a fancy chapeaux, and a glittered hand.

A vintage kodak box camera adds to the vintage Halloween flair.

Vintage leather-bound books add to the vignette.

At the base of the mantle, the large clam shell hold glittered hands, glittered chains, and eyeball orbs. Spooky fun!

The upper mantle shelf features two new prints. More later....
