Ron if you want a good laugh watch sh%t southern girls say on YouTube. There are about 6 episodes and I believe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WamNsnI2Sxs
Too funny Ron! I hear these phrases up here in the north too! The big one up here is "Yeah, Right?" Used all the time. So bless your heart for sharing these lol! Kris
Cute! I haven't heard some of those in years. My grandmother always said "heavens to Betsy". I occasionally say "bless her heart", but usually I mean it sarcastically!!!
I am originally from Memphis and I have said/say all of them. When my daughter was a baby, I guess I said "heavens to betsy," because she would just exclaim, "Betsy!" when she was exacerbated. :)
Yep...I've heard all of them. Our colorful American English. Love it. I used to hate it...as I taught my senior eng students to use proper English in their essays, etc. Now...out of the classroom, I appreciate those sayings more. ha!

LOL Have to laugh, we always said "Fixin' to" when we were getting ready to do something. My dad would reply, "why? is it broke?"
