I had a delicious cheesburger. Yum!
Balise, named after the first French settlement at the mouth of the Mississippi River is set in a 19th century Creole townhouse in the Central Business District. Balise celebrates New Orleans as a port city and its unique access to a wide variety of ingredients.
We then walked down to the newly opened Ace Hotel, enjoyed a cocktail, and some live music in their bar.
On the ride home, we stopped by Bouligny Tavern for a nightcap.
Cheers!
A Super Saturday, y'all!
What is the cocktail with the little pearl onion garnish? The only drink I know with those are Gibson martinis. They're such a cute garnish. I'm jealous of New Orleans' food! Looks like a fun night!
ReplyDeleteIt was a gin martini.
DeleteGood morning, Ron! We've never been to Balise, but if Justin Devillier owns it, I'm sure it is good. LPG is one of my favorite restaurants in NOLA, too. Looks like y'all had a great time! Have a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun night! I see all the guys got the memo to wear a checked shirt:):) That cheeseburger looked GOOD!
ReplyDeleteYes. We all commented about MAD for PLAID!!!!
DeleteWe have been to Balise and it was such a let down, it is not a restaurant I would recommend, although I do love LPG. It looks like you all had a great time.
ReplyDeleteI've had three great experiences. I am sorry to hear that (whoever you are).
DeleteThat cheeseburger looks sooooo yum! I can eat a couple :)
ReplyDeletePS - Such a cool hotel lobby
