Cheers to 48.

Wow, 48! Where oh where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday I was just turning 30. Getting older does not really bother me as with age come wisdom. I truly LOVE this meme. It does sum up one of the positives of growing older.


Well? My dream did not come true as I am up early getting ready for work. I thought for sure I would have a note "You can RETIRE" in my card from J. No go! Boo! I want to travel with him.


On the positive note, I do feel good. My cardiologist visit last week was a positive one, so for that I am most grateful. I am surrounded by an amazing family and close group of friends.

    Happy Birthday Ron! We are very close in age. I'm 51. I agree that there are benefits to getting older. I don't feel like I have to have everyone like me the way I did when I was younger. I'm more confident with myself. However, I could do without the grey hair (that I color)! I will never go grey. I think it immediately ages you. I'm sure retirement will be here before you know it. My husband is retiring from the fire dept next month!

    Happy Birthday! You are the same age as my son, so of course, I think you are a mere baby. (Of course, I was a child bride, so what do I know.)

    I hope you have a divine day and that you will get your wish to retire and travel soon. I have to tell you, that is a really wonderful goal and when it arrives, it will be all the sweeter.
