We departed for Bogue Chitto State Park (1 1/2 hours north of New Orleans) on Wednesday morning and returned on Friday.
The students participated in team building activities, hiking, and canoeing. They were also allowed free-time to partake in water slides and swimming.
Two nights in a tent without A/C in the woods is about all I can handle. I am happy to report that another year down, and I made it home safely. I cannot tell you how exhausted I was on Friday.
Wilderness Adventure, y'all!
You are so good to do that for your kids! I'm sure they all had a blast!
ReplyDeleteForget AC, I need a bathroom with running water!
ReplyDeleteCan't you call a substitute for those days?
Good morning, Ron! I'm right with you on this one--my idea of "roughing it" is a suite at the Windsor Court with room service and the Polo Lounge! ;) You are quite the trooper! Have a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm with you about the heat, no AC and tenting! I did all that when I was much younger and enjoyed it but not my cup of tea nowadays! That's really nice of you to do this for your students. I bet you slept like a baby when you got to bed Friday night!
ReplyDeleteThe kids look like they had a great time!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the kids had a blast though! That looked like a nice area to camp.
