On Friday, the teachers dressed as hippies and danced to The Age of Aquarius. The students always love to see what the teachers have in store. Making “fools” of ourselves in front of students is always fun for all.
After work, my “cousin” Monique and I met J in the French Quarter for drinks, dinner, and lots of people watching.
We had cocktails at the Rib Room.
We dined at Muriel’s on Jackson Square.
We even visited the Seance Room upstairs. It was Halloween after all.
The Hermes Bar is always a fun place to people watch.
We ended the night listening to Lena Prima at The Carousel Bar at Hotel Monteleone.
How did you celebrate your Halloween?
The weather here is fantastic. Fall is here, and I wonder how long it will stay?
Halloween weekend, y’all!
I wish I had teachers as cool as you!
ReplyDeleteWe tried to get into the Carousel Lounge on Saturday, and there wasn't a seat left in the place! You know how to work that town!
Good morning, Ron! Looks like you had a great weekend, of course, you always do! Coming to NOLA today to check on the condo and do some shopping on Magazine. Have a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour outfits were all very "cool"! Looks like you had a good evening at Muriel's. I've never been to a seance!
ReplyDeleteRon, the hippie theme was a great idea. I know the kids have fun seeing their teachers entertain them. Toward the end of my years in the classroom, the school district banned Halloween costumes at school. Made me sad to see the tradition come to an end. Glad to see that the tradition is alive and well in New Orleans.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend, Ron! Love your costume. I think it's great the teachers got dressed up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend!! LOVED the teachers costumes and what a great song to dance to!!
ReplyDeleteI love that the teachers dress up. Sounds like a perfect evening.
ReplyDeletehahhaa...how fun this is. Ya'll looked so cute. I can't even imagine the old, stuff-shirts we had for teachers ever doing anything fun. 'Course, that was a hundred years ago and back then, teachers weren't SUPPOSED to have fun. :)
