Eating on Magazine St. {Pizza Domenica}

What a treat and so close to home!
A great new restaurant from the Besh Restaurant Group recently opened Uptown within walking distance from the house, and the buzz is fierce.

We finally tried it out a couple weeks ago and loved it so much.
Upon entering the restaurant, you pick up a menu and order prior to being seated. You can choose to sit in the bar or a one of the numerous tables in the expansive dining area.

J & I ordered a couple cocktails and the much recommended grilled cauliflower, an entire head of cauliflower grilled to perfection with whipped goat feta . I cannot tell you how good it was. I savored each and every bite. It was so large that we took much of it home. At $18.00, it’s not cheap but worth every bite.

We also ordered the prosciutto pizza…tomato, fresh mozzarella & arugula.

Pizza Domenica is a more casual spin-off of Chef Alon Shaya's wildly popular Domenica Restaurant at the Roosevelt. Wood-fired pizzas, small Italian plates, and salads with emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients are offered at Pizza Domenica.
American and local craft beers, specialty Italian brews, Italian influenced craft cocktails, small production boutique wines, and specialty house cocktails are offered at the bar.

  3. Pizza Domenica is on my ever-growing list of restaurants to try in NOLA! Love the decor. That pizza that y'all ordered looks so yummy, but I would have to pass on the cauliflower. I don't eat that--one of the few things I don't eat! ;) Have a great day! xoxo

  8. What a beautiful restaurant! Grilled cauliflower sounds delicious! Don't you love living so close to such great restaurants? I know that we enjoy walking or taking a water taxi to dinner. There is a new oyster bar restaurant called The Blackwall Hitch that we are going to try.
