I love using mirrors in the courtyard. The reflections of light and the greenery is amazing.
Recently, J & I purchased several during our visit to American Aquatic Gardens. All are made of concrete, so each will weather well. They are really heavy.
The first one, I placed on the rear fence near the newly planted fern baskets. It is Frenchy in design.
The two others are a matching pair and are quite Gothic in shape and design. I love the shelf on each which allows a candle to sit atop. I too love candlelight in the evenings. The glow in the garden is spectacular. I placed the two on the side fence.
The fleur de lis mirror sits under the shelter.
Mirror, mirror on the wall………… Last year, a cardinal flew from mirror to mirror. I hope the visitor returns.

Thanks for stopping by the Courtyard. I am off to pour myself a cocktail and read through my latest issue of Coastal Living.
Mirror, mirror, y’all!
Those mirrors add such a nice touch to your already lovely courtyard. I really must get to NOLA soon to visit with you and meet J. Can you believe we have never actually met? I feel as if I have known him for a years! That's the beauty of your blog. I can vicariously meet all of your friends and learn about them! ;) Enjoy your day! xoxo

ReplyDeleteI like all your decorative elements for your courtyard. It personalizes it and gives you something to enjoy looking at. Mirrors are such a great way to enhance areas. I like the concrete ones with the candle's reflection- great looking and great mood enhancers!

ReplyDeleteThe mirrored pieces look amazing on your courtyard wall and lattice. LOVE the reflection of the plants and candles. Now you have me wanting to make a "courtyard" under my deck since that space has a wall and lattice and lots of room for shade plants. Thanks for the great inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI really love those mirrors! Your courtyard looks so cozy. I bet the candles are wonderful lit up there at night. Those would also be pretty used indoors.
ReplyDeleteWhat I would do to have a beautiful outdoor space like yours!
