After a joyous but exhausting Mardi Gras season, J & I are waking up to the view of Mobile Bay outside our window at The Grand Hotel in Point Clear, AL.
Though cloudy, clear skies are forecasted after noon.
We love to stay at The Grand. I love the arrangement of blooms in the lobby.
Last evening, we dined casually at Saltwater Grill on the premises. Cocktails and seafood were ordered.
I dined on a crab cake burger with sweet potato fries.
J. chose the redfish.
After dinner, we headed to Bucky’s Birdcage Lounge for a couple martinis and to listen to some live entertainment.
Today, we head to Fairhope just minutes away for a day of shopping. It’s my birthday weekend after all.
Do not forget to SPRING FORWARD tomorrow morning.
Point Clear, y’all!
What a beautiful view!! Dinner looked delicious and I love the presentation. Happy shopping and Happy Birthday!!! Do you and Amanda share the same day?

Looks like a lovely area! Enjoy yourselves and eat lots of good food! :) I'm from northeast Alabama - Ft. Payne. But have lived elsewhere much longer than I lived in Alabama. It is a pretty state though.
