An annual event always takes place the day after Christmas when I trek down to Houma, LA to deck the halls facade, mantle, and tree at my sister and BIL’s home.
My sister is a traditionalist like me and loves red, green, and gold.
The outside of her home features wreaths on every window decked in stately gold & red stripe. The front doors don wreaths topped with red ribbon accented in a gold lattice pattern.
The front door is surrounded by lush mixed green garland embellished with more classic ribbon.
We transform her Fall pumpkin topiaries into wintry snowmen with a kit from the local Michael’s Crafts.
Two reindeers from Frontgate welcome all to the home.
Inside, her mantle features two drummer boys (I love these.), a wooden train & truck, along with greens, bears, and other filler.
The live Frasier fir tree holds ornaments very special to my sis and her family.
Houma-style, y’all!
It is beautiful Ron! I adore the pumpkin topiaries turned into snowmen. Very clever!
