Thanks for coming into the parlor! Yesterday, you viewed the spooktacular entry chest. Today, I’ll share the parlor mantle.
I was so happy months ago when I spotted these scientific mercury glass flasks and beakers on a blog by The Paris Market. I knew I’d have to make a few mine to be used in October’s Halloween decor. I quickly contacted Michelle, manager of shipping, and had several sent my way.
On the lower mantle, two large Erlenmeyer flasks sit at various levels, one stacked on a collection of my vintage books. A holographic photograph adds some eeriness to the vignette.
Two battery candles with a raven and spider add Halloween spirit to the mantle.
Glittery hands and chains, preserved bugs, faux barbed wire, and a mercury glass beaker and pumpkin complete the Halloween mantlescape.
A gray chenille web connects the double mantle complete with glittery spiders.
On the upper mantle, glittery chains, and skull & crossbones votives add some Halloween flair.
I hope you enjoy my mantle as it is great in adding the Halloween spirit throughout the month of October.

Spooktacular Parlor Mantle, y’all!
Love the vignette--it is SPOOKtacular! I'm really digging those flasks. You sure put a lot of thought into all the details. Have a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteRon this is SOOKtacular for sure! It's like a mad scientists laboratory...love the mercury glass beakers and the skull votives! The chain and barbed wire add a little "tension" to the scene and the holographic woman makes you look twice! The giant cob web and spiders make it feel really old and creepy- I love imaginative creations like this- Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your floral arrangements on the upper mantel. Would you mind sharing exactly what flowers are there.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
They are preserved, dried flowers. Each contains hyrangeas, lemon leaf, tube flowers, and other greens and berries. They were made by The Acorn at Wisteria Hill, ME!!!!!!
DeleteIt looks amazing! So much attention to detail.
ReplyDeleteFantastic Halloween Mantel! The flasks are perfect...what a find. Love every element you've included to make a scarific mantel.
ReplyDeleteAwesome mantel!!!
