With so many “classy” bloggers and followers out there, I do value your opinions. You are never shy or scared to help me out by giving me your truthful testimony.
Recently, I set out to have a respected business design a custom monogram for J & I. My instructions were simple. I want a classic R and J. Not only will the monogram be useful for pillows, duvets, and placemats, but I hope to use it on other stationary goods.
I will share the designer source once I decide which custom monogram to choose.
Let me know in the comment section which monogram you like best.
ONE (1)
TWO (2)
THREE (3)
FOUR (4)
FIVE (5)
SIX (6): 1-5
SEVEN (7): 1-8
EIGHT (8): 1-6
Personally, I am leaning to Number ONE (1) ---simple and to the point. This ONE will never go out of style.
Thanks for your opinion.
Custom Monogram, y’all!
I would pick #1 also - or maybe #2. But then, I love Crowns, too!!
ReplyDeleteI prefer #1 ~ tasteful and timeless. There are many others that I like, however, I feel one might tire of them.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!

My vote would be for #1. Classic so it can be used for many applications.
ReplyDeleteI love #1 as well, but I do like the diamond effect created by #4!
ReplyDelete#1, I am all for classic, timeless and simple.
ReplyDeleteI would agree with the very first one in that it will be more versatile and the R and J are most distinct/clear. All lovely!! Monograms are such a classic and personal touch.
ReplyDeleteStay true to your first choice. Classic, timeless, elegant- that's a keeper combination!
ReplyDeleteRon, #1 was my immediate choice. It's clear so the initials can easily be identified, bold, and makes a statement. At first I liked the addition of the crown, but not the pattern in the background. Then I went back and forth between the two. Simplicity was always my first choice! It doesn't need the crown. Great idea to have one designed.
ReplyDeleteI like your choice too. But I would add a bit of leaves, as in the seventh design of choice 7 since you have such an appreciation of floral influences and work with them or perhaps some ACORNS!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePS...I enjoy your blog every day! Jane, San Diego
ReplyDeleteI like #8-3 (2nd row, first one).#1 is fine too, but I like #8-3 better. Stacia in Chicago
ReplyDeleteI like #1 best too. Hmm...........I am thinking of a shop behind the moss curtain that does monogramming. I am wondering if it is the one you used.
ReplyDelete#5 for suuuuuure
ReplyDelete#1 OR #2, but swap the crown for an acorn... ;)
ReplyDeleteMy thought on that is it could still be at home in a wide array of styles. I think it's versatile and timeless. I love monograms so much.
ReplyDeleteI agree go with number 1. But I do love the acorn idea.
ReplyDeleteI would go worth 6-3 or 7-1. Classic and balanced, will translate best for embroidery!
ReplyDelete1 or 3
ReplyDeleteNumber 1 for sure! I agree--you will always be able to put it to use in the future because it's so simple. I can't wait for you to share the designer. After seeing Amanda's custom monogram, I contacted her Savannah source and they weren't able to do a digital copy for me. Thanks so much, and good luck picking!
ReplyDeleteI too like 1; however, my eye is also drawn to the bottom left of 8. It seems very handsome and classy.
ReplyDeleteI like number 1 along with number 8-5 (bottom left column). But I feel number 1 has a more custom look. The only thing that I hesitate on is the point on the curve in the "R". It makes it a little difficult to make out the letter. At the same time though, that uniqueness is what makes it look distinctly yours. Can't wait to see what you decide.
ReplyDeleteI agree. No. 1 .Especially, if you're going to have it embroidered on your linens....Simple and Elegant.
ReplyDeleteI must agree with many that have commented! Number 1 is just so beautiful and would look terrific anywhere.
ReplyDeleteThey are all gorgeous and your couldn't go wrong with any of them, but I would choose #1 for its timeless classic appeal....but I have to admit I'm loving the idea of #2 but with an acorn instead of a crown!
ReplyDelete1, 2, or 7-7
ReplyDelete#1 is great but I also like the bottom left one in group 8.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you #1 is my favorite. It's classic. I feel the last few have too much going on and the J isn't very clear. Hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteAll are lovely, however the #1 "R" doesn't look at all like an R. I'd do #8 bottom left!!! Or else, keep #1 and see if the "R" could be altered a bit. Its kind of confusing when you look at it.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely #1. On some of them, I can't even make out the J, and some of the others are too "busy." I like classic and classy, and #1 is definitely that!
ReplyDeleteI love the J in number one and the way the style is with a R and J overlapping. As a fellow R and woman I just don't care for the R in #1. For middle ground I would choose the R in #6 -1. Masculine but not overly and it would look great with that J. My husband is also s J (Justin) so this is getting the ideas turning. Can't wait to see what you choose.
ReplyDelete#1 is my fav for sure! Here is what I think about 2.... A crown? Seriously? LOL
ReplyDeleteNo contest. #1, fer sho!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNumber one it is with number five a close second.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Six: 3. One is lovely as well. I know you will make the best choice for you and J.
