It has been a great 2 1/2 months of summer vacation. Where has the time gone?
I so enjoyed my summer days of coffee tawks, Good Morning America, bike rides, long walks, cocktails, good eats, beaches, and friends & family.
I spent much of my time in Grand Isle, 7 miles of sand, sun, & fun.
I spent a great week in Perdido Key, FL.
I spent time in Fairhope, AL.
As I start a new year (3 days of meetings/students arrive Thursday), I will always remember the great, relaxing summer of 2013.
Only teachers know how it feels to go from summer to the start of a new school year.
Cheers to a great 2013-14 school term!

Happy 1st week, and hope that you have a fantastic year!

ReplyDeleteI asked Josh what he was looking forward to this year and he said without hesitation, "Having Mr. Carrier for science. "
ReplyDeleteHe went on to say something about it being ok to sharpen pencils while you were talking because you are loud enough to be heard over the sharpener. My apologies in advance as I am sure he is going to test that out as soon as he gets a chance.
I know only too well the feeling of going from summer vacation to the start of school. One never forgets that even when retired. Your students are lucky to have you--I'd love to sit in the back of your science lab and watch you interact with your students. Have a great 1st week and a wonderful year! Labor Day is right around the corner! xoxo
