I am so enjoying my summer. I have been at the beach every weekend except one since Mother’s Day. I enjoy pool time, coffee tawks, Good Morning America, “doing lunch”, organizing, long walks, and more. But after July 4, reality sets back it.
When I walk into the local Walmart and see this…
I start hyperventilating (exaggeration!)!
Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE my job and happy to be in such a good school, but I do enjoy being able to do my own thing. I can get so used to this lifestyle.
Hey teachers out there! What do you think of all these ads? Do you feel like me?
I just love this.
Hey Jeannine! How do you feel?
Shhhhhhhhhh! back to school, y’all!
:-) I know right!!! I used to teach. Not any more... But I remember those days seeing the back to school ads and displays and feeling like my fun just got shot to .. you what.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha.. Ignore it Ron and enjoy the rest of your summer. Well deserved break.
Hugs, Gee
I remember when I taught school seeing all the back to school ads and wondering where summer ran off to.....
ReplyDeleteYikes! I think my youngest starts school a day and a month from today! *sadface*
xo,
RJ
Oh boy! I used to teach and I know what you mean. Just when I got used to sleeping in, it all had to be yanked away! Just soak up as much summer as you can!
ReplyDeleteIgnore the ads....Summer is just getting started!!!
ReplyDeleteYou see, I'm on the other end since I'm a parent and not a teacher. LOL! I feel more like that Staples or Office Max commercial where they show a person smiling while perusing the aisles of back to school and "It's the most wonderful time of the year" song is playing in the background. But....I do feel a little anxiety in the sudden "rush" of things getting ready for back to school that comes with it. My son will be starting middle school too. So, it will be very different for us this year.
ReplyDeleteI remember BEING the student, then working in education also sending my own kids off to school. I have to say I still feel dread when I see that stuff come out haha. NE kids just got out of school June 26! It's like bringing out Christmas in October.
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready to return to school, but I do love buying school supplies! I'm moving from 3rd grade (where I've been for over 10 years) to 7th and 8th grade Language Arts this year, so there's a new excitement excitement for me this year and I anticipate the unknown!
ReplyDeleteI don't teach but I had the same reaction :-) boooooo
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way even though I don't teach. We're seeing the same thing here. The stores here also put out supply lists for each school. Last year, I picked up one out of curiosity, and was so surprised at the type and amount of supplies each child was required to bring. LOL You can tell that I'm really out of touch.
