Vote for Your Favorite Look, please! {Boxwood Orbs}

Yes! I am need of your help and expertise. I cannot decide on the look of one of my preserved boxwood orbs on the secretary. You may have seen in my post yesterday that there were two different pictures of two different “holders” for the boxwood orb.

Choice ONE

Do you like the boxwood orb in the off white crackled French urn?

Choice TWO

Do you like the orb on the industrial-looking metal “cake” stand?

Please comment below and let me know your choice. I do not often have design dilemmas, but this one is a decision I cannot make by myself.

I need your help!

Looking forward to your comments.

  1. Urn all the way! Love the crisp green against the cream.

  2. Choice 2--I'm liking the boxwood orb on the "cake stand" (love that "cake stand")--definitely like the whole look of that vignette! Hope this helps! Have a great day! xoxo

  4. Ha...I love it both ways! But I'm going to say #2!

  5. Definitely #1. It is so traditionally elegant.

  6. Definitely #2. I think the urn adds too much 'whiteness' ; you already have enough white things on your beautiful secretary. My two cents!!!!!

  7. The cake stand is unexpected. It gets my vote.

  8. I like them both but have to vote for option no. 1.
I like it better with the oyster frame -which I love! Crazy for oysters!

  11. I like the height of the cake stand

  12. My initial thought was the white urn shows off the greenery of the orb better against the dark wood of the secretary. But then, the cake stand adds height which I like a little better.

  13. I like #2 the cake stand. Different looking and the 1st would be the expected one. Like your blog and home. susan @ throughmyporchwindow.blogspot.com

  14. I am not an expert on anything but I do have an opinion. I love the one in the off white urn. It is the perfect contrast for the dark wood.
    Have a great week, Ginger

  15. I vote for #1 for two reasons. I love the look of greenery against white and also you have the footed antique lamp (which I adore!) on the other side, so feel you shouldn't have something footed on the other side...does that make any sense? Your secretary is gorgeous!!

  16. I'm liking #2 the best! Love your blog!!

  19. I like both but the cake stand is unique and not as expected! It would be cool with one more layer like a mercury glass plate?

  20. I like the white container - it picks up the color of the oyster shells and the off white of the alabaster base of the candle as well as the candle nearby. The metal stand is good but you probably have another area to use.

  21. I love both....like I do everything you do, but I have to say the urn just a smidge more. I think the gorgeous frame stands out more. Either way is lovely though, which I'm sure I why your having trouble deciding :).

  23. Hey Ron; I like choice # 1 the best. I just looks right, with the rest of your grouped items.

  24. Choice #1 gets my vote. The urn "plays well" with your oyster shell frame and the candle. Have fun deciding. :)

  25. The WHITE urn definitely.
