I have become obsessed with preserved boxwood orbs (balls, spheres) lately. I see them everywhere from fou-fou shoppes to places like Steinmart & T.J. Maxx.
I picked up two boxwood orbs (10 in.) for my newest oyster shell finds (more later) for the parlor mantle at Orient Expressed on Magazine Street.
I think they fit and look great tucked in the containers on the mantle.
I then purchased a dozen smaller faux boxwood balls (3 in.) from the local Steinmart. At $2.99 each, these were a steal.
Recently, I purchased yet another from Abode (6 in.) on Veterans Blvd. in Metairie.
The smaller ones are upon the top parlor mantle.
Some are also on the wooden sconces going up the stairway wall.
While others are grouped in the cast iron urns in the kitchen windows.
I love how there preserved orbs continue to bring the outside in.
In honor of my newest obsession, Chic Chateau in Thibodaux has donated a potted preserved boxwood orb for an April GiveAway.
The potted boxwood orb measures 8” high. I will be giving away one potted orb. The orb is a $29.00 value.

I love boxwood orbs and yours look beautiful around your home. This year I am planning to add some boxwoods to some urns on my front porch since the deer seem to eat any flowers I try to put there! Have a great Sunday and thanks for the give away!

ReplyDeleteRon, I may have an obsession with these boxwood orbs myself. I bought 4 last fall, then added 6 more recently. I like the preserved ones. The ones I found are 3 different sizes: 4", 6", 8" . I used them in compotes as center pieces on tables for my garden club luncheon, and now I'm enjoying them around my home. I qualify on all three requests to be entered for the potted orb, but since I already have some would feel greedy to take part in this give away. '-) Thanks for sharing! ~ Sarah
