No! I am not talking about breakfast.
The front porch oyster shell wreath has once again been transformed for the Easter season. As soon as the shamrocks were removed, I quickly added new ribbons, eggs, marshmallows, and a bunny.
Pastel colors are not my favorite, but the colors work for the season.
Burlaps ribbons in natural and spring green make a lovely double bow.
Eggs in shades of purple, green, pick, and yellow add to the seasonal decor.
Marshmallows in green, pink, and white add a touch of whimsy to the wreath.
A bunny topiary used in a large Spring wreath last year completes the middle of the wreath. The bunny is made of grapevine. I added a bow and eggs to its neck.

ReplyDeleteLove your Easter-Oyster wreath. The bow is REALLY pretty, and I'm like you in that pastels aren't my favorite, either. Having said that, my husband talked me into buying some pink majolica plates at a yard sale and now I'm having a time trying to find something to go with them. Love your carrots on the door and urns, too.

ReplyDeleteYou are a creative one Ron! That wreath looks great. I love how you are multi-purposing it! The porch looks great- those giant carrots in the window add some whimsy. I love the fleur-de-lis pillows on the rockers! I've decided the reason for pastels in the spring is because when things like tulips, lilacs and magnolias bloom they are all in that kind of vein... :-)
ReplyDeleteRon, your wreath is beautiful! I knew you had something awesome in store! Pastels don't really work with my decor either; but, I find that I can work yellows and greens into the mix, to get a touch of Spring.

ReplyDeleteLove it!!! I have the oyster shells from our last roast soaking in bleach. I have "The Uptown Acorn Oyster Wreath how to" saved in my favorites. It won't be long before I will have my very own oyster wreath. I only hope it is half as cute as yours.
