Why oh why does such a great weekend at such a “grand” hotel have to come to an end?
J & I packed a lot into a weekend- shopping, eating, drinking, and sight seeing.
The Grand Hotel certainly lived up to all expectations. The hotel and grounds were picture perfect.
I am so happy that J & I were able to visit The Grand Hotel as the flowers were blooming. Let me share the beautiful landscape and flowers from our long weekend trip. The grounds are meticulously landscaped and just look at the beauty of the moss-covered Spanish oaks.
On Sunday morning, the hotel staff was setting up for a wedding at the resort. The couple could not have asked for more perfect weather. The setting is amazing enough.
A heron welcomed us to The Grand.
Today is also a special day for my godson, Henri.
Happy Birthday, Henri!
As mentioned in earlier blogs, Henri is really into watching wrestling, so this year’s party theme was World Wrestling Entertainment. I am sorry Uncle Ron & Uncle J missed the party.
Flowers at The Grand Hotel, y’all!
Ron-It looks like you had a really GRAND time at the GRAND hotel. Did you ever hear of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island? (pronounced Mackin-naw) It is fabulous. Here is a link to it. There are no motor vehicles on the island. Might be worth a summer trip sometime- xo Diana
