After a meal at the outlet mall in Gulfport (Yes! the food court), J & I did make our way to The Grand and found the food and libations to be quite tasty.
Appetizers and cocktails in Bucky’s Birdcage Lounge
Dinner in the Grand Dining Room Steakhouse
Appetizers
Magnolia Bisque: luxurious lobster & asparagus bisque served side by side
Caprese Tower: heirloom tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, smoked sea salt, & balsamic pearls
Entree
Southern Crab Cake “Benny”: Gulf Coast lump crab cakes accompanied by fried green tomato, fresh quail egg, and cajun hollandaise
Filet Mignon 8 ounce: Bearnaise sauce with side of Southern cheese grits (Sorry! J had already taken a bite out before I snapped a photo.)
All foods were delicious and well presented. I am not a foo-foo foodie so presentation is always important.

Eats & Drinks (Point Clear), y’all!
OMG, Ron, That bisque looks divine--love the presentation there! I can't look at a well-presented dish and not think of Joel Champagne. He always told Steve, "It's all about the presentation, Steve. We're not eating; we're dining." Love it when food is not only delicious but also presented in a visually-appealing way. That way, you get to "eat" it twice--once with your eyes and then with your mouth! Looks like your brief vacay was a great one. Have a great day! <3
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place, Ron. That dining room is just gorgeous and the food looks delicious. Love the presentation. Have a great day- xo Diana
