The bar is now open for a weekend of Uptown parades with FRIENDS.
This year, J & I are offering the usual beers and white wines, but we always offer a signature seasonal cocktail too.
This year’s cocktail is the majestic purple Mardi Gras Mambo.
The recipe for this cocktail served in my beehive dispenser is as follows:
1- 40 oz. bottle of grape juice
1- 2L bottle of lemon-lime flavored soda
1- 2L bottle of ginger ale
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
750 mL vodka (optional…LOL)
The recipe is a delicious one to serve and perfect when garnished with a green lime and yellow lemon. Ahhhhh, the colors of Mardi Gras… it doesn’t get better than this.
Cheers to the Mardi Gras season!
Today brings a day chock full of parades. BFFs Sal (Thoth) and Randy (Bacchus) ride today. I can’t wait to see what treasures each has for us. I hope the rain forecasted for today holds off. We too have lots of FRIENDS stopping by all day.

Cheers with Mardi Gras Mambo, y’all!
