I’m a little embarrassed to admit it, but I don’t think I’ve seen a great movie since The Help. I also have not seen any of the movies nominated for any of the Academy Awards this year.
I am out of the loop for sure, but I will be watching the pre-shows to see the who’s who and what they will be wearing. Afterall, I get into the fashions more than the actual awards anyway.
I also think it would be fun to attend an Oscar viewing party if I had only seen any of the flicks.
I took to pinterest yet again to see what types of things would be fun to have if I were throwing an Oscar soiree this year.

I don’t know why, but I am always anxious to see who wins.
And the winners are, y’all!
I'm with you, Ron. I am really out of the movie loop. My hubby, however, goes to just about all the movies. I think it would be a ball to host an Oscar party but I am not with it enough to know what is going on in the movie world right now. You found some great ideas here, Ron. Guess we will both be plastered in front of the TV tonight admiring from afar. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteMy favorite movie is Silver Linings. What a story! And all of the characters are pretty much unforgettable. They make you want to go to their house and hang out.....even if they are all just a little bit off-center. I didn't think it would be so good based on what I had heard about it. Well, that just goes to show.... It is worth the time and $ to go see it.
ReplyDeleteOne word: Lincoln.
ReplyDeleteLes Mis was wonderfully done - Anne Hathaway deserves the Oscar. And those tuxedo strawberries are TDF!

I will be watching tonight too. I haven't seen a lot of the movies that are nominated either. Sometimes, just by watching this show, I'll get ideas about what I should go see (on blu-ray). LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat great ideas! I've only seen Les Miserables, so I'm pulling for that, though, I think Lincoln will take it. However, if Hugh Jackman doesn't win the Oscar for best actor, I'm not going to be happy! ;)
ReplyDeleteI am so out of it too! But I will be watching to see the outfits and hopefully get inspired to rent one of the nominated movies.

I have seen several of this year's nominated films and my two favorites are Lincoln and Argo. Both great films. I am going to enjoy watching the Oscar's by myself as usual! I throw myself a party! LOL...
ReplyDeleteI watched a little, but I am always bored to death. The ceremony is way too long for my A.D.D.
