Mardi Gras in Oyster Shells… {2013}

Laissez les bon temps rouler!

In decorating for the Mardi Gras season, I love to use my collection of oyster and clam bowls to add just enough Southern elegance to the often tacky, classless Mardi Gras decor.

On the dining room buffet, my two Alison Evans clam shells hold beads. A jester even sits inside the larger one which is also complimented with metallic fleur de lis in purple, green, and gold.

On the dining room table, the Alison Evan ceramic coffee table bowl is filled with more beads and metallic orbs in the three Mardi Gras colors.

In the breakfast room, the Oysteria bowl holds even more beads and an arrangement of yellow roses.

I enjoy using the bowls for centerpieces. They do give just the touch of Southern elegance to the decor this season.

Oyster bowls for the season, y’all!
