Several years ago my cousin Laurie gave me two large jesters from Green Acres Nursery for Christmas as she had pulled my name. Laurie knows how much I enjoy decorating seasonally, and living so close to the parade route enables me to “go all out” for Mardi Gras.
The first year that I had the two jesters, I positioned them on the staircase garland. But last season, I came up with the idea of hanging each whimsically in the alcoves between the parlor and stair parlor.
I must say they show up a whole lot more.
The jester on the left I hung upside down. It looks as though he is flying through the air. A little monofilament enables easy hanging of each jester.
The right side jester hangs as if he is jumping from a height. Whew!
The jesters, donned in metallic purple, green, and gold costumes with perfect jester hats, welcome all guests and friends to Perrier.
A great “jester”, y’all!
Love those jesters and how you displayed them! Have a great weekend! :)
