Fresh Flowers… Mardi Gras style {2013}

I always love fresh flowers in the house. One or two fresh arrangements tend to make me happy.

When I need fresh flowers for the house or to be sent to a friend, I use Mitch’s Flowers on Magazine Street. It also houses my fave, Oysteria.

The fresh arrangements are always styled to perfection, and the flowers are healthy and fresh.

Just this week, I ordered a Mardi Gras-colored arrangement of purples, greens, and golds. Again, Mitch’s Flowers did an awesome job. The arrangement now sits on my parlor bench/coffee table.

Roses, tulips, stock, and other fillers make this “relaxed” arrangement a perfect compliment to my Mardi Gras decor.

And just take a look at the arrangement that arrived by delivery from Mitch’s Flowers yesterday. OMG! It is absolutely beautiful. Thanks to my BFFs Michael & Joey for thinking of me and sending such a gorgeous arrangement. You & Mitch’s Flowers know exactly what I like.

Filled with lilies, tulips, hydrangea, and touches of Mardi Gras in glittered sticks and coils, this arrangement is a perfect addition to my breakfast room table.

I also picked up a couple bunches of irises from Whole Foods. Their purple color is perfect for Mardi Gras. I added them to a great vignette.

Health Update 2013:

I am also happy to report some good news. I had an ultrasound on Thursday of my heart. The cardiologist is happy to report that my heart muscles are getting stronger. Though I am still in A-Fib, I will take any good news. I do feel better and better each day. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I am taking the season in a low-key way --- no houseguests this weekend and no major celebrations. I know my friends understand that I still require rest.
