I love the holiday season, but sometimes I feel the season is exhausting.
J & I had a great weekend. After a Friday evening Faculty Christmas party, J & I spent Saturday shopping in the Quarter. It is really hard to get into the spirit when temperatures reach 80 degrees.
We started out with lunch and a couple cocktails at a fave, Mr. B’s. Then it was off to shopping.
Saturday night, J & I hosted guests, my cousin Laurie and her hubs Charlie and BFFs Melissa and Eric. They enjoyed some parlor patter, and then an excellent meal at another fave, Upperline.
Owner JoAnn Clevenger is always so friendly and appreciative when J & I bring new guests to her popular restaurant.
Sunday, J & I hosted an Open House, Mix, Mingle, & Jingle, for my middle school teacher friends. It was a great afternoon of food, cocktails, and conversation.
And if that was not enough, last night we attended a birthday dinner for one of our best neighbors, Nancy. She and her hubby have become fast friends.
As I type this, I am totally exhausted and feeling somewhat “under the weather”. Oh well, three days to go until v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n!!!

Good friends and good times. I think I know Nancy from the gym. She talks and talks and is fun.
