When J & I decorate the den tree, we love to reminisce about where and when each ornament was purchased. Some of the ornaments have been collected through our 14 year history. Many are new finds since moving to the Big Easy.
Since moving to New Orleans in 2008, we stop by Adler’s annually to pick up one of their custom-designed New Orleans-inspired ornaments to add to our growing collection.

Are you finished “decking” your tree?
Decking the Tree, y’all!
Just Beautiful!! I love a tree with collected ornaments. Our tree in our Living room is that tree here. So fun to talk about the history of each ornament as we put them on :). Love your collection.
ReplyDeleteAn absolutely beautiful tree! My tree, too, has many ornaments that are meaningful to me. My oldest ornament is a vintage one from when I was a young girl. There were only two left--so my sister and I each took one. I've never seen another one like it! Have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteYour tree is gorgeous! I love all the different ornaments! I love to reminisce about the ornaments on my tree also.
ReplyDeleteI just love the streetcars! Your tree is stunning, Ron! I have to say, although I am very sentimental, my trees don't hold many collected ornaments. Most of mine come from Walmart, Big Lots, Target and Marshalls. Are my trees pretty?-yes (if I do say so myself!-HA!) but not very sentimental. It is probably because I switch themes every two-three years and I end up buying so many mass produced ornaments to fill up the tree. I do collect snowmen though-which are very sentimental to me. I can write a book about those guys! Hugs, Meghan
ReplyDeleteHi Ron, my favorite is the snow-topped streetcar, but I love them all. xo, Jill
ReplyDeleteUnwrapping and hanging tree ornaments each year definitely takes us on a trip down memory lane. Beautiful! ~Amy
ReplyDeleteRon- Your ornaments are beautiful! I LOVE the little snow covered streetcar-it will probably be the closest you get to snow this year! Your tree is gorgeous-I gave the kids all the ornaments they grew up with this year-they took turns picking. I think I had about 200 or so for them. I kept some that I wasn't quite ready to give up yet. Blessings to you- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tree Ron. I love all your ornaments and the special ones for this year from Adler's. The streetcar is fabulous. Hope to finish my "decking" tomorrow! I'm adding a small flocked tree in the dining room this year (dreaming of a white Christmas). A southern girls dream.................
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours.

Wow. I can't stop staring at all your gorgeous ornaments. How very cool. I love your tree and I couldn't help but notice the burlap ribbon with the red pom-pom trim in the next post. Where did you get that? I haven't seen that around here.
