Back to my Christmas home tour…
Let’s take a closer look at the dining room decked in its holiday colors and spirit.
The dining room table features the large oyster shell bowl filled with glittery pomegranates, pine cones, and greens. I love these pomegranates and have them all over the house.
Flanking the oyster shell centerpiece are two sterling silver stag head hurricanes. I scored these two hurricanes at Hill Street in Atlanta and have used them for years. This year, I have two candles poured in red mercury glass holders. The illumination is breathtaking at night. Candles are by Fleur de Light in the evergreen scent.
On the buffet is the Alison Evans clam shell filled with more glittered pomegranates and greens. A sterling silver deer candleholder majestically stands with four red taper candles. A vintage antler-handled calligraphy brush completes the vignette.
Over the buffet, my favorite heron oil is topped with a mixed green garland filled with berries, pomegranates, acorns, and velvet red ribbon.
On the shelving unit, the oyster shell lantern is filled with greens and a set of flickering lights. The illumination at night is awesome.
A glass vessel is filled with ball garland and seasonal ornaments.
And the chalkboard painted post welcomes all… Merry Christmas, y’all!
Are you finished decorating yet?
I am also excited to be featured today at The Dedicated House for Make It Pretty Monday. Check it out for yourselves. Thanks, Kathryn!

ReplyDeleteSo elegant and beautiful! I, too, love those pomegranates--they add such a classy and festive touch to the decorations in the dining room! Have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteYou always do a great job with your decorating. I like your oyster shell covered lantern! I actually saw a Christmas Tree at T.J. Maxx with oyster shells making up the whole exterior of it. I'm sure someone snatched it up quickly. The shells were in perfect shape so it was a good find. Your pomegranites are great and I love how you displayed them. Your silver pieces are beautiful and really add a nice touch! Love your heron oil painting!

ReplyDeleteLove the coastal feel to your home without it being too much. The oyster shells are the perfect touch in your beautiful home. I like how they are used enough to notice them and be significant to your design.
