Celebrating the Holidays {Sal’s Annual Soiree}

The first Saturday night after Thanksgiving is always reserved for BFF Sal’s annual Christmas soiree.

The home was decked in green and red and featured numerous wreaths hung on posts and doorways throughout the house. The entrance featured two large wreaths of net ribbons and sparkles.

The revolving tree stood tall in the study.

Catered food and drinks, Sal’s parties are always a fun way to kick off the holidays.

The catering by Pigeon Caterers featured delicious bites such as shrimp and grits, crawfish and brie, mini crab cakes, tuna bites, and mini BLTs.

Desserts by Pure Cake consisted of cake pops of red velvet, pecan praline, German chocolate, chocolate and salted caramel. Delicious and easy to eat.

I always look forward to our group picture, an annual holiday tradition.

The bar was set up in the garage, so most pictures were taken there.

Dancing to videos enthralled the guests. “Love is in the Air”

Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” is always a holiday hit.

  2. Good Afternoon Ron, What a fabulous party! and what a wonderful welcome with the two gorgeous wreaths adorning the front door. The revolving Christmas tree was fun....I've never seen one of those before and what can I say about the buffet....so many delicious foods. I loved the cake pops and really must bake a Red Velvet cake as this is something I have never eaten. All in all you look like you had a wonderful time. Have an equally lovely Sunday. Best Wishes Daphne

  5. Looks like Sal's soiree was the perfect beginning of the Christmas season--note, I did not use "holiday season"! ;) His decorations are beautiful, and I have never seen a revolving Christmas tree! That spread on the buffet looks yummy--could eat some shrimp and grits right now! Have a great Sunday! :)

    Sal sure knows how to throw a party. He's not just another pretty face.

    Talking about a pretty face, where was the birthday padre?
