Though their trip started out with a missed flight (They rushed to catch the next one.), the Dixie Belles, J, and I spent a long weekend doing the things that we all love--- shopping, eating, and drinking. I love when my Dixie Belles are in town because I always know that the weekend will be filled with mature fun and lots of laughter.
Whisked from their flight, we started out with pomegranate mojitos and a delicious meal at Superior Seafood. Check!
The rest of the weekend was spent dining at our favorite restaurants/bars and shopping at our fave haunts.

Dixie Belles, y’all!
I am SO jealous! ;) it looks like a fabulous weekend. And the number of shopping bags kept increasing throughout the photos. Looks as though everyone had success :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun filled weekend! Glad you guys had a great visit!
ReplyDeleteI'm hittin' some of them hot spots today!
ReplyDeleteRon,
ReplyDeleteHave you ever thought of doing a shopping/lunch tour on the weekends? OK, I know that sounds ridic, but what about a few special tours during the summer? I think you could do very well-you have all the qualities...personality, humor, connections, cordiality, etc.
Dotti- Amanda suggested the same thing. Who knows? It could be a great idea, xo
DeleteOk I would totally travel there to do this. :)
DeleteGosh, Ron, it looks like it was a blast! So much shopping and my, my...the food!
ReplyDeleteMY KIND OF WEEKEND!!!!
ReplyDeleteRON... HAD TO DROP BY AND TELL YOU WHAT A PLEASURE IT IS TO READ YOU BLOG. IT IS SO REFRESHING TO READ SOMETHING THAT CONTAINS NO
GRAMMATICAL ERRORS. I'M SURE IT IS THE TEACHER IN YOU. SOME OF THE
BLOGS I READ ARE UNBELIEVEABLE. I SUPPOSE IN THEIR HASTE GRAMMAR
AND SPELL CHECKS ARE OUT OF THE QUESTION.. WELL, AS I SAID, SUCH A
PLEASURE.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
THANKS,
BILLIE
Looks like an awesome weekend! I know you and J love it when the Dixie Belles come to the city. Gives you an excuse to do the things you love to do--drink, eat, and entertain! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch fun! There's just no city like NOLA...that's for sure! I love, love the food and the shopping must be to die for. I haven't been there in a few years ~ I think I must correct this. :)

Ron, I live in Villa Rica GA and am a follower of the dixiedelights. Amanda's pics of your home were great....not the pics, but your home! :-) My favorites (silly to list them all) are Egret painting...details please...large clam shell (details please) and the oyster wreath..omg! Did she stuff it into her luggage? Check your door. Tell me you didn't cook those turtles!!! Turtle shells were the only things that creeped me out. I love those buggars!!! LOL Oh, had to laugh at framed lady on the mantle...shut the front door!! ;-))) Beautimous home! Donna
