Vintage French Wine Bottle Drying Rack

I have been looking for something to display my collection of handmade oyster coffee mugs for some time, and finally found the perfect holder- a vintage style French wine bottle drying rack.

It is perfect to hold the coffee mugs which are “on display” on the kitchen island.

After a few tweaks, I think it is a great addition to my kitchen island vignette. I purposefully did not fill the rack as I think the beauty of the piece is in the metal details.

I added some of my Abigail’s fleur de lis salad plates to the top along with a seasonal ceramic white pumpkin.

Coffee tawwwk just got more convenient.

  2. Love it! And just think, I use a plain old mug holder from Pier One for my mugs. I think I like yours better. You are so creative.

  5. I have one of those racks as well and never cared for it in my kitchen, so I used it to hold bracelets in my bathroom. I love your idea of placing small plates on top! Brought mine back in the kitchen and copied your idea!! LOVE IT! Thanks for great thinking. Jill

  6. Your oyster mugs are so neat, and look fab on the French drying rack. Great look with the plates and pumpkin on top...and love your kitchen with the high ceilings and space above the cabinets for display.
