Stair Parlor {Halloween 2012}

Boo. Eek. Bam.

I never did much Halloween decorating before moving to New Orleans, but the neighborhood really goes all out in the colors of black and orange.

Spiders, crows, bats, skeletons, pumpkins and more, Uptown New Orleans knows how to celebrate the SPOOK-tacular “holiday”.

Join me for a Spook-tacular time on Perrier Street. For the next few days, I will share with you my Halloween decor.

Today’s post is my Stair Parlor. The central clock table is filled with branches of black aspen leaves, crows, chain, a glittered hand holding a magnifying glass, and a foiled lighted jack o’lantern.

The colors black, orange, and white fit with the black and white clock table. A collection of boxes and decorating books fill the rest of the table.

  1. Great Halloween decor, Ron! I haven't done Halloween, since my girls were little; but, I love seeing others do it so well!

  2. I've been waiting for this! I haven't decorated for Halloween, either, since my children were little. Loving this vignette that you created in the stair parlor--ghoulish yet ever so classy, as always! Can't wait to see the rest of your decorations! Have a great day! :)

  4. I usually just do pumpkins and gourds for Oct and Nov. this makes me want to do Halloween in Oct instead.

  5. So cute, but that spider on the front of the house is scary!
