Fun Night with Old & New Friends

After an awesome late lunch at The Delachaise, J & I headed out late yesterday afternoon to meet friends in the French Quarter. The French Quarter was filled with Halloween revelers and Madonna concert-goers. The Quarter was certainly buzzing!

First stop- Swizzle Stix bar at the Loew’s Hotel

Swizzle Stix is one of my favorite bars in the city. We even ran into comedienne Wanda Sykes who is in town for a show today.

Sixth stop-Oz

Believe it or not, this is the same place J & I met in 1998. We waited for an out of town friend for a while but never ran into him. Oh well, we tried. But we did run into several other characters.

This swanky lounge is the perfect way to wrap up a perfect night. We listened to some jazz.

Finally, we jumped into a taxi and were home safely. I am feeling the “fun” this morning. Why, oh why can I not sleep? Sorry for some blurry pics as I was using my iPhone.

French Quarter fun, y’all!

  5. I flip a coin for where the best Halloween fun is...
    New York or New Orleans
