I spotted this ecard on a facebook friend’s page just the other day. And though I have not taught in the public school system in years, this “card” rings true for so many.
Whatever you believe or think, good teachers always deserve respect, admiration, and better pay. The school system’s changes in evaluations for teachers are quite stressful for today’s public school professionals, and the evaluations are ever changing. Teachers never go into the profession for the money but to better the lives of their students.
Good teachers are “good teachers! Period.

Well said, Ron! Everyone in every profession is where he/she is because of teachers--including those who make decisions about education. Let's have a big "shout out" for the teachers of this world! :)

ReplyDeleteI agree, Ron! My mother was a teacher; and I still run into some of her former students today, who talk about the impact that she had on their lives. Teachers are so underrated!
