Katie’s back {Couric, that is!}

 

I have loved Katie Couric since her years at The Today Show and have followed her during her brief stint at CBS Evening News. I am so happy that she is back doing something that I feel fits her perky personality, a daytime talk show.

The show has been added to my DVR and tapes daily. Katie and her talk show are a perfect fit.

Katie’s show has breathed life into the afternoon schedule.

After waking up from a bad dream with Matt Lauer sleeping in her bedroom (separate beds a la Lucy and Ricky), Katie welcomes you to her new digs. Her first guest was the always adorable, Jessica Simpson followed by Sheryl Crow who authored Katie’s catchy theme song.

 

Day 2 was an exclusive interview with Aimee Copeland, the survivor of rare, flesh-eating bacteria, and her family. Kleenex!!!

On Day 3 supermodel Heidi Klum spoke candidly about her break up from Seal, Project Runway, and her new kid’s furniture line for Baby's R Us.

Off to a great start! I hope that her talk show will be around for a long time.
