Fiorella’s {French Quarter}

Fried pickles. Fried chicken. Need I say more? It’s been a while, but I love me some Fiorella’s.

Located at 1136 Decatur Street near the French Market, Fiorella’s is hands down my favorite fried chicken in the city. The wait time is worth it as the fried chicken is crispy and juicy. The service is rarely quick, but each order is prepared on the spot.

Do not forget to start with an order of fried pickles. You will not regret it.

Though this is not your typical NOLA fare (Who can pass up fried chicken?), check out Fiorella’s if you are looking for this type of treat. And what a treat it is!

  1. Ron, I have never had fried pickles. But I knew a fellow once who ate peanut butter and pickle sanwiches for lunch. He said they were yummy. I haven't tried that . But maybe one day I'll try those fried pickles. Smiles to you, Susie

  2. I L.O.V.E. fried chicken and fried pickles. The best fried chicken in the Thibby area has to be Boudreaux's in Chackbay. I know people would argue that Chester's is, though delicious, has the best, but I prefer Boudreaux's. The only drawback of Boudreaux's is that the pieces are very small, and I find that they have gone up on the price. Recently, we discovered that the Half Shell has "Fried Chicken Night" on Thursdays. Cooked to order, you can order any combination of chicken that you want--you don't have to order half of a chicken, like Boudreaux's and Chester's , and it is inexpensive and huge pieces. Don't think I would ever drive to NOLA to eat chicken at Fiorella's, but you never know! Putting Fiorella's on my Pintrest board for NOLA restaurants. Have a great day, Ron! :)

  4. It has been years since I have been to Fiorella's! Glad to hear that it is still as good as I remember. I agree with Ginger, Boudreaux's in Chackbay has great fried chicken.

  5. I could really do with a big piece of fried chicken right now. I've often heard of fried pickles but haven't tried them. Surely, there's a restaurant around here that makes them.
