Showing You Window Treatments

I am again linking to Kelly’s Korner today for her Show Us Your Life series. Today, bloggers like me are asked to “Show Us Your Window Treatments”.

As far as window treatments go, I do prefer less frilly drapes. I seem to prefer silk panels. With 12-14 foot ceilings in our home, drape panels are anywhere from 108” to 120” in length. It takes lots of pretty fabric.

The parlor features silk striped panels from Restoration Hardware. The front door features a roman shade with coordinating ball fringe.

The dining room, den, and breakfast rooms feature silk panels on metal rods from Pottery Barn. The dining room also features custom woven wooden shades by way of Budget Blinds.

The stair hallway features another custom woven wooden shade.

The master bedroom features 4 long silk, chocolate brown panels flanking two sets of French doors leading to an upper balcony.

Honey’s window in her guest room has two embroidered panels flanking the window seat along with a wooden woven shade.

In the Nest (guest room) are platinum colored silk panels. Another custom wooden woven shade lines the inside of the window.

In the upstairs bath, a black & white roman fabric shade with white trim and white ball fringe fits the black. white, and blue color scheme of the room.

Stained glass and frosted windows throughout the home add privacy and fits the style and era of our home.

  1. I love the simplicity and classiness of your window treatments--so elegant! There's nothing like great window treatments to finish off a room. And, I L.O.V.E. your stain-glass windows. Thanks for the tour! :)
