Fun Finds…{burlap lined baskets}

Before I begin today’s post, I am elated to be featured on the blog No Minimalist Here for today's Open House Party Thursday. Hop on over to the “party” after reading today’s post. Thanks Sherry for featuring my Parlor Mantle {Summer}.

Now for today’s blog post…

You all know my love of burlap which is totally H-O-T in the decorating world today.

On a recent visit to The Shops at 2011 Magazine (seems as if I go there often-LOL!), I picked up two wire baskets lined in burlap. I love them. I have been wanting burlap lined vintage baskets for a while for the French Shopkeeper’s shelving in my dining room. I have seen many for sale but are often very expensive. I was just too happy to find these two.

I set each on the third shelf of the French Shopkeeper’s shelving unit. One I filled with my antler-handled silverware. The other, I filled with brown New Orleans toile dinner napkins and a wicker vessel. I love to have silverware and napkins easy to access when having a casual dinner party or supper club.

I think they look great!

  10. Love the wire baskets and burlap. The horn-handled flatware is awesome. I would love to have 10 place settings of that and put it with Spode Woodland. I just love the dark brown and rustic autumn colors in that china pattern. If I win the lottery, that is the first thing that I'm going to buy.

  11. This is a multi-layered post. First, I like your coastal inspired mantel. Those old mantels with two shelves are very striking. I enjoyed your shelves full of goodies and love the burlap lined baskets. I checked out your burlap post too. Love the shower curtain.
